Libraries offer sound system for patrons | postcrescent.com | Appleton Post Crescent
The public libraries of the Manitowoc-Calumet Library System now can accommodate the needs of patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Patrons can place a request for assistive sound system equipment for meetings and events that take place within the libraries in Brillion, Chilton, Kiel, Manitowoc, New Holstein and Two Rivers. The request can be made by phone or in person at the front desk.
The purchase of the portable sound systems was made possible through Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant funds awarded to the state Department of Public Instruction by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services.
