Leave it to the government

Oh man, that's crazy. SMH This stupid law will be repealed one day.

US government has nothing to do with it. State governments in Utah, Colorado and Washington do.

why don't you read and find out why they passed the law to prohibit people from collecting rainwater?

the article is so comically ignorant that I think the writer is on government's domestic terrorist watch list or on medication for paranoia or schizophrenia.

do you realize that if everybody starts collecting rainwater.... that would be very bad for our lakes and nature? it will run dry and you will see tons of sinkholes! I can see that the law is flawed and it should be revised to a more reasonable one. they are already in process of revising it. that's how wonderful our government system is. the law is not absolute. it can be changed at any time. simply voice your concern and that's all you gotta do.

Only you Jiro...only you....
Don't you realize how much flooding we will stop too. We build and cover soil with concrete so no water can seep in and raise the water levels of lakes, rivers, the ocean...ect

Well, I'm wondering what kind of a website this is because after clicking on the link, I happened to see another article within that website that talks about the USA having 2 Constitutions and the secret second Constitution belongs to the Vatican!!! See for yourselves!!

um.... you do realize that this "rainwater" law is mostly in western states? that's a very dry area. I've never heard of rainwater law here and we don't care because East coast is a very wet area and we're flood-prone all the time. I can't recall the last time we've had an emergency water limit law.

"Utah's the second driest state in the nation. Our laws probably ought to catch up with that," explained Miller in response to the state's ridiculous rainwater collection ban.

How the HELL can the government have any ownership over the rain that come out the of sky ? So if that is the case then I am going to tell the government to keep their snow off my car and send them the bill for our snow removal.

Mineral rights, methinks. In most jurisdictions when you buy a house, you sign about a half mil pieces of paper, right? Well, one of them says that the local government owns the mineral rights to the land the house is on.

I had several rain barrels that filled up whenever we got a good dose of rain. Used it for our gardens and flowers. Never a problem.

On a scale like that, I'm sure it isn't a problem.

I did not sign any papers like that and I own two houses.

You do know water trickles downhill right? so south and east it goes.

Depends on where you are and if you get caught if its a law there yet.

And myself, its not a law here, yet anyways but I will have rain barrels for my garden, if they need to be buried to hide them, so be it. I pay for water here, so free water from the sky for my garden is a blessing.

If you are going to ponder that, Ponder why we pay taxes yearly on cars and homes...ect... its illegal to tax anything twice but the government can tax you all they want...hmmmm?

You pay taxes on a candy bar, eat it, poop it flush it pay for the water to flush it and sewer tax to get that turd out of your house, then pay sanitary taxes to have that water re-cleaned and piped back to your house to pay to use again....
