WLNS TV 6 Lansing Jackson Michigan News and Weather - WLNS.COM | LCC Program Provides Special Santa for Deaf Kids

A special program at Lansing Community College goes to show that Christmas knows no boundaries. An organization known as SODA sponsored the holiday event. It stands for "Signers and Others for Deaf Awareness." A handful of kids took advantage of being able to tell Santa in their own way just what they'd like to see under the tree.

Lindsey Williams, S.O.D.A.: "It's fun for the kids because they can communicate in the same language and tell Santa what they want for Christmas, and they see that it is accepted and its normal."

Kids got to watch a holiday movie and put their creativity to the test with some special festive crafts.
