Anyone have suggestions for me and my fiance what to do in Las Vegas? We are going there on July 19-23 due to poetry convention. We are thinking of eloping there too? but not sure yet cuz my son will be mad at me if hes not part of the wedding? sighs. but anyway have idea for us wht to do there and sightseeing etc? please help! :D
 
oh my god.. u will realize there are soooo much to do! trust me. ive been there many time.. there are alot of things to do. i ll run down to my office downstair and grab some infos i went few months ago and share it with you. ok? :)
and yeah u probably would regert if u didnt include ur son in ur wedding since the wedding is pretty special to you and your family. your son would feel like hes nothing to you and ur future hubby.

Anyway, I never been to LV. But my parents went there on their 40th anniversary. You might wanna to ask someone else and they might have more experiences. :lol: I wish I could go to gamble/play poker. :lol:
 
do u know which hotel u are going to stay at? and are u planning on rent a car or walk around in Las Vegas? are u staying on the strip?
 
i went to Hoover dam, grand canyon, there are so many shows i went to. especially magic shows.. also i went to the clubs but $$$ i suggest u to be there at the club much earlier or u ll be standing in line for a lonnnng time! haha.. ummm i need to know first before i can answer.. ie.. where ru gonna stay at and etc.. like i posted before then i can give u some ideas, place to check out, etc etc.
 
i am not sure.. i will ask my fiance.. he s the one who plan this.. as he was the one who is going to the poetry convention, not me. ha.. i will check in with him and see then let u know.. ok. :D

and you are right .. my son is impt to me and i do want him to be part of the wedding. thats why i want to wait till oct.. :D

my fiance told me that the poetry convention will be held at Riviera Hotel and Casino. They were sold out on rooms so we cant stay there. dang..WOW! so we will have to look around for motel rooms nearby. is any near Riviera Hotel? i wonder? i guess i will look up online for infos..:D
 
National Deaf Poker tournament will be held at Binion's on July 22. I will be there.

Las Vegas has tons of entertainment for you and your fiance.

MGM, Boardwalk, Stratosphere, New York, New York have amusement (roller coasters)

Ohh soo much to do in Vegas! I am still NOT done! LOL! Ceasear Palace is cool place and the stores open LATE. Vegas strip, sightseeing, and few others that other ADers suggested. I am not sure about that hotel that where Poerty Convention take over. Best is look up on line and find another nearest motel/hotel. Good luck and have fun!
 
Yeah I am not going cuz my sons father will not let me bring TJ with us to Las Vegas.. oh well.. and its my turn to keep him this summer.. so i cant go... but tho starrygaze will go to poetry convention.. good luck to him! sighs.
 
If you plan to eat, there are a lot of great buffets in vegas. The hotel Rio, the carnival of Buffet is fanastic!! And Belliagio Buffet, I hear it is like a heaven. I also like "Dishes" at Treasure Island, they re really good. Fat Tuesday is fun place to get a drink (at caesars palace). Venetian have this cool "eiffel tower" drink, it is a really TALL drink if you like to drink and enjoy the evening. Evening is the best thing. COKE and M and M are fun place to look around, they got a coolest stuff. I liked going to Madam Tussad's Wax Musuem..it was fascinating. IF you want the whole package, I would suggest you to go to Fashion Show Mall, they have a booth for buying the whole package deal for all the entertainments such as rides, hoover dam and all that. THe booth is really close to food court. Or you may check www.expedia.com or www.travelocity.com look for las vegas deal, they have a lot of great stuff. My husband and I went there for honeymoon....we stayed there for a week, and we get to look a lot of things. The Blue Man Group show is really fanastic, I think they are just perfect for the deaf people cuz they dont talk. THey guestures a lot and playing loud drums. We participated some of their shows It was a blast!!!! So Hope you find something!! Good luck!!
 
Poker in Vegas

You're welcome to socialize with deaf folks attending the 2nd stop in 2006 of the National Deaf Poker Tour at Binion's Casino in the heart of Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas. The tournament will start at 11am on Saturday.

Also, we have a block of rooms reserved at Westin which is a centrally located hotel on the strip at $105/night. We have a few rooms left at this rate before it gets released back to the public. You can still use our block even if not playing in our tournament. Link is at: http://tinyurl.com/qmfcb

why not tj's father let him go with u thgere n tj need fun..
 
After class reunion I will go to Las Vegas, too. But not on that date I do not expect to see his poetry at the convention. It depends where my friends will go to.
