Large Fish tank for Hospital

Poor baby kitty! That fish was like, "WHAT" I'll take you out Bio**h! :laugh2: Still, poor kitty was probably so confused! My cat would have reached in there and taken the fish out... :laugh2:

Im pretty sure the cat can get it out. Its when they get to 1 foot large that i say itmight be a little difficult. But yeah cat can defently go eat it. My grandma has two of those. One is 8 and the other one 9 inches. If the fish dont know you....dont put your hand inside. My fiance learned that the hard way. Lol

Don't know what this is... but it's pretty! :D
That's a mandarinfish. Like Dreamer03 said, it's a saltwater fish (or a marine fish).

It's bottom-feeding so it usually lands on bottom or rocks/corals to look for food. It's not too expensive since it's common. I had one before but it was trapped by a live coral that it landed on during light off 2 weeks later.

It's so pretty! :D If I had the time to take care of something so exotic I'd do it! Not to mention learning how to take care of it.... and the money.... I'm sure they're pricey! :( Still, very pretty fishy! :D
To set up a marine tank, you must know basically about water chemistry such as PH, nitrite, ammonia, nitrate, salinity, etc. I had two 60-gal set-ups for over two years. Many marine fishes are exotic like those fishes below.

I am horrible with the names of freshwater fishes since I am not interested in that hobby. Marine fishes are very sensitive to water quality compared to freshwater fishes except Discus that I have heard about.

Yeah, discus can be very sensitive to water change and all. they need an RO system and all thes eother thigns. Might be as expensive as keeping saltwater fish. I want to give saltwater a try but for now ill stick to freshwater.

we have a 210 gallon for sale and a 90 that's running so have plenty of livestock to start... needs some cleaning up.

Hey, I know a large fish tank fish. I don't know what it is, but it's rather large. I'll snap a photo of it next week Friday and post it here. He's a beautiful bluish-gray color.

Oo thays the other thing. Should i make the tank with acrylic or glass. I was going to go with glass but if recommended acrylic i can do that too.

What size do you plan to install? Are you going to make or buy it?

300G glass Aquarium Weight? [Archive] - MonsterFishKeepers.com

From what I've read here. The argument appears to by inconsequential to the OP request for information. You are arguing about two different things. The weight of acrylic vs the weight of glass. Acrylic is much, much lighter than glass.

For the glass tank in question, we've had opinions of 4-6 people to move it.

For the acrylic mentioned in the argument, it would take far less people. 2-4 would be sufficient.

I feel that this has run its course as the OP is no longer responding. the move has either been postponed or completed at this point.
It also depends on thickness of glass or acrylic. The thicker, the heavier (and stronger).
