Searching for an ASL course (I already sign AUSLAN) here in Minnesota, I was stold that sign is not recognised as an LOTE in this state. Is this true? If so, how does it affect people - eg is it easy, or do you have to pay, to get interpreters, say, for doctors' appointments?
