My switch on went so well. After I got switch-on, I couldn't understand my audiologist and mother's speech then after 10 minutes is getting a lot better. An hour I had a listening practice with our Habilitation and went well. The sounds like a robotic and helium. Two implants works so well together.

Nah, it was on the 21st Feb aye. Yep I am in NZ. I lived about 3 hours drive south from CHCH. My family and I are ok. thanks for your concern

Well krazykatkitty being your second implant- must seem like "old hat" and used to everything.
I understand there will be much more sound for your brain to "absorb" in the short run.

Good luck in near future with both of the implants.

Before the quake. I am very lucky. I had just left Christchurch about 40 minutes before the quake hit!!
