LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Kirstie Alley will take on tabloids, Hollywood and herself in Showtime's "Fat Actress," a reality-comedy series about the life of an overweight celebrity.

Yes I read that and I love that woman.... Oh man she is beauty and weight. SIGH
 
She was a great actress -- but I met her while I worked at Paramount Pictures and she was a bitch BIG time. Didn't even say hello at all when I said hello to her when passing by. :roll:

At least I've met others who were friendlier and were friends for a while during my 3 years in L.A. ;)
 
Miss Delectable, I've read one article-- where Kristie was interviewed, and I personally dont have the energy to look for that again so you may take my words with a grain of salt until you see for yourself-- Kristie said she has been really devoted to her kids and home life.. she blames it on baking a lot of cookies. lol

And she said she weights like 300 lbs now. Yeah. I still think it's damn gutsy of her to expose herself on TV.. and being willing to make fun of herself. Some people don't want to deal with weight issues, being very self conscious. :)

Oh, did you hear about America making obesity officially a disease recently? So HMOs and other providers will be forced to pay for treatments and all...

I not know she is not nice lady... I look at her as beauty. :)
 
i did read abt kirstie alley... before she gained but now again gain.. mmm!
 
Purple, wow you met her and she did not even say HELLO. eh, she sounds bitchy to me. I admit that i loved her act but I do suspect that she was bitchy.
Let's see how it goes with her current show. Hope I will enjoy watching her acts.
 
C'mon, how would you feel if you were working somewhere, and some people kept saying hello to you, just because you happen to be famous or well-liked? I don't think it is fair to call her bitchy and all that. Put yourself in other perspective.

I didn't know Kristen Alley gained weight, haven't seen her for years on the screen. Guess she was focused on her kids.

maybe she was pressure on the shows and forcus on kids or whatever... maybe she dont feel like talk.. i dunno... :dunno:

Veronica's Closet -- yes, she's morbidly obese -- I've seen the pictures of her, recently.

In a way, it's good to see her being unashamed about her weight and talking about it and dealing with it as well.

Hmmm.I was serving food to the Cheers stage and studio crew and cast. Everyone else thanked me and said hello when I was over delivering the food. Kirstie didn't.

Thanks for informing me. Yeah, I will trust what you say ;)
Good that America's doing something to try and curb the Obesity epidemic.
I only hope Australia will also do something about it.
