The Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KCDHH) is a state agency authorized to develop and implement a program of information and referral; advocacy; public education; and direct services. Based in Topeka, KCDHH works with other organizations throughout Kansas to assure coordination and availability of services for people who are deaf and hard of hearing.

· Jack Cooper, Gardner, has been very involved with the Midwest Athletic Association of the Deaf; the Kansas Association of the Deaf and the National Association of the Deaf and served in various leadership roles in these organizations. He retired in 2008 after a 40 year career with Mid America Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Re-appointment, three-year term, expiring April 29, 2014.
