Just upgraded AIM and yet I cannot....

Grr...

I tried to sign in but everytime it said connection failed and suggested I click on Auto Configure or settings manually.

Believe I tried all those suggestions but not sure how to repair it correctly.

HMM....not sure what to suggest.. but did ya put in your correct pw and etc? Just exit the program and reboot and then try again... if nothing, ya should ask someone else vs MSN Messanger to assist with that... I do hope ya will get your AIM humming good in no time..
 
Wow.. I did upgraded my AIM... no problem at all....I dont know how to help you...

Maybe, you delete that software, and then download for a new one. It will not erase your friends' list because AOL's server collects all people's name on the record. You might want save the names.

Do you use a dial-up service? If yes, your dial-up software has automatic disconnect by the minutes so you might want to uncheck that box, but you need to make sure that you disconnect manually when you are not using your computer.
 
Do you have a firewall? maybe ya might need to allow the new updated aim to access through firewall to online.
 
Perhaps, you forgot your password?

Some people will use the auto log-on feature. When they change their password once then use the auto log-on feature, they eventually forget what they changed it to. :eek:
