Maybe I am wrong,
I have always read that in medieval ages, the work week was rather short because of the sheer physical labor involved, and the workers took frequent time off to recuperate. There are no hard figures I could find concerning the number of hours folk worked two centuries ago (or further), but I have the feeling the hours worked do not match today's. I am too exhausted to do research right now. :P
