I havent posted here in a while been busy out looking for a job and Ive only found part-time work at least somethings better than nothing I guess.

Ive since applied for help through the vocational rehabilitative service, and I have an appointment with their docs Monday to vertify that I really am HOH (deaf in my left ear- reduced hearing in my right ear). My caseworker has told me there may be a way for me to go back to college and finish what I started through their training program and grants that I appearently do not know about.

Im hoping he will let me have at least a part-time job so I can pay bills now and not get cut off from the assistance I need to get back on my feet. Its a pain in the ass to be single mom and living at home with the parents because Im too poor.

Welcome back Dixie.. Glad to hear that u found a part-time. Yes It is better than nothing! being a single mom is hard as i would know as I am a single mom too.. sighs..

I am too from Arkansas.. I am located somewhere in Conway County. :)

Welcome back Dixie!!! I hope thing goes well for you. As being a single mom. I know what you are talking about. I am too a single mom and working part time too but now I am on vacation til Aug 28 cuz the school is closed where I work. For now I am relaxing while my son is on vacation from the school too. I cant wait to go back to work to get back to normal. I own my own home and been that way since 1999.

I just wanted to say good luck with VR.

yeah
i am thinking of ohio or california (i don't care of expensive) to be near my brother (i miss him) but i am not sure
