Jim Jones Utilizes Sign Language in Music Video | TheCelebrityCafe.com
In an attempt to expand his fan base, Jim Jones will be doing something innovative and creative in his music video. Jones and two of his friends will use sign language to translate the song "Perfect Day." The video will feature a pop-up box that shows sign language displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
Jones tells The New York Daily News that his inspiration came from the mother of one of his close friends, who is deaf.
"She asked, 'Why don't people in the music industry ever have people doing sign language in their videos because they love music, too?' They can feel the beat like anybody else," the rapper says.
He adds, "I learned it like in five minutes," he said. "I would love to learn some more sign language. I think it's kinda fly."
The video has already been viewed over 500,000 times, and it introduces a new way that musical artists can reach out to fans who are hard of hearing.
