Jabra = junk?

I've always had Oticons over the last 25 years or so, and currently on Jabra from the big box store. Bleah. can't seem to get a satisfactory adjustment and other issues, lots of them.... Profound loss right ear, moderate to severe left so I need good aids. I have a lot I could opine about the various issues, but am ready to shell out the big bucks (for the first tie entirely out of pocket) and am looking for the best way to go (Oticon again?) Must be battery powered as I hate rechargeable as I travel and hike and power is not always available. I did an intro in the "introduce yourself" spot but for people just encountering me, Hello you beautiful people!
