So I was just wondering what do you usually buy your mother for her birthday?(if this applies to you)

My mum will be 44 and me and my sister have got her tickets to see Bill Bailey who is a comedian tomorrow. Also we hve got her tickets to see a band whom we know she loves. I think it is called Black stone cherries or something like that. We was able to print the tickets off and we've put it in her card so she'll actually have the tickets on her birthday even though she is not going to see them until October.

But apart from this year we usually get her the same old things, chocolates, earrings, jewellery etc. I know its the thought that counts but wanted to do something different this year. hope she'll like them!

Last for my stepmother I got her a big hardback book of New York Times crossword puzzles, and a book about a 1940's movie star she is interested in.

I also took her to a restaurant and gave a box of candy.

Thats nice gesture.

I gave my mum necklace last year, this year Mum requested for DVDs.

My parents lives in Austria and they don't have TV so they want loads of dvd's.
Dad's getting me recordable dvd player soon so I can record stuff for them.

It's hard to get them other things due to postage/weight and our holidays aren't anywhere near our birthdays.
