Is it fair to ask for a mechanically inclined driver?

I would like to get this one if it's still available.

It's about 110 miles from me. If I was getting a 2009 Honda Accord, I would not mind whether this person is mechanically inclined or not. However, I'm getting an older vehicle. I would think it'll be better to get someone who knows quirks around this rig or knows enough mechanic stuffs in case this rig has problems on way home.

If nothing else, I may have it towed home.

Sure it is. But be forewarned. You won't know what type of mechanic he/she was until you or your mechanic has to do some work on the vehicle.
