iPod vs. Zune

my brother got an ipod for his bday yesterday and he's already into...deeply.
zune, on the other hand seems kinda outdated and was little too late to come out after the ipod since ipods have been selling like hot cakes already.
I've heard in the future zune would play games by MS in the summer or next year, not sure. perhas something to trade data between the zune and xbox360 on certain games like Nintendo and Sony did with the GBA and PSP.
