Candy, congratulation! You made a smart move. Before I go on, I'm not one of Apple fanboys. In fact, I hate Mac. It's technologically useless and a huge joke in computer market. Ive surprised many people that i kept an iPad 2 instead of Galaxy Tab and others. I bought Galaxy Tab and others before I finally gave in to iPad's superior features and it's ridiculously flexible. I returned Galaxy Tab back in less than a few hours after bought it. It is beyond bad. There is no surprise why or how easy iPad dominate the tablet market.
People still don't get it. It doesn't matter how fast CPU, how powerful the android tablets are, they are not issues at all. Flash? Oh please. Leave it to PC and Mac. I love the fact that I don't have to deal with Flash and its bandwidth-wasting problem. What else why more and more sites are moving or changing to HTML5?
Anyway, Candy, be sure to get Flipboard and Pulse. You'd love it. They have their beautiful UI and powerful friendly-user features. And they're free. If you want to use the smart cover, get the Switcheasy for back cover because it is designed to be co-exist with smart cover. If you like to draw, you can get stylus for it. It is very doable and easy to use with. I bought Inspire Pro and Sketchbook. They have their own pros and cons, but they're great apps to play with. There is a flaw though... Like all of tablets beside Wacom, iPad doesn't come with pressure sensitive. I guess they will incorporate that into future iPad versions.
Reading ebooks on it with iBook (or Stanza) is nothing, but great and pleasure experience. I could go on and on for hours why, what and how makes iPad so great for me and everyone else, but I have to stop myself before this leads to a long post.
Welcome to the club tho! If you have any question, ask away and I'll be more than glad to help you.
