This is it....it's a dual core portable processor called Yonah, that will be debuted in laptops in early 2006 as Dell and NEC has announced them, including the Mac (based on rumors). Dual core is like a 2 seperate processors crammed into ONE processor.

I already know about that and it's really nice but I hate Dell.

Few years later Intel plan to make quad cores for desktop.
 
ahh they stole my state's own mount yonah's name ! :squint:

anyway i hope they can keep the future laptops more cool on our laps. ;)
 
OS X without 64 bits

OS X is a 32-bit OS. It can run 64-bit applications, but there appears to be only one such app on the market: Mathematica.

Also, current PowerBooks, iBooks, and minis use the 32-bit PowerPC G4, so a 32-bit Yonah is no worse.

We'll see what happens when they're actually out and see if they run hot or cool, who knows? I heard they have lower power consumption and is faster than a Pentium M, too.
