This topic is dedicated to the Intel Moorestown processor (it's an Intel ATOM chip) that will likely be the future in Mobile phones.

Aava Mobile's Intel Moorestown prototype plays World of Warcraft beautifully (video) -- Engadget

It is running Quake 3 Arena and WoW with smooth framerates, that's something to say about it. They mention 1 hour of playing on the battery.

It may be the competitor to Qualcomm's Snapdragon line. Or even the 1.4ghz that is coming soon. Or even the 1.2 dualcore cpu (Qualcomm News and Events ? Press Releases ? Qualcomm Ships First Dual-CPU Snapdragon Chipset)

Personally, I'm amazed by the Q3A performance. Not the gaming itself but that it can actually run it smoothly. Q3 is a standard benchmark test used for a lot of different platforms.
This may be the future of cell phones and computing for those who need it..

They released press info for first quarter, and first look at new smartphones / other devices with the intel moorestown chip.

Aava's MeeGo O/S developed on their own.
I think I read that if this moorestown chip comes out, Nokia will take charge of it and it will be called the Nokia Aava smartphone. Not 100% sure.

See a video of MeeGo O/S in this youtube. It's way snappy and fast compared to iOS / android / windows mobile. It's still developer edition, so they mention the quirks.

Intel is three years late.. :) and that means REALLY late in a technology world.

Animation looks very jerky.

Look at first video, start with 7:00, a guy tried to zoom in photo, EPIC FAIL!!!!

I wonder how long battery last? Intel Moorestown is 45nm with dual cores? Hmm. Intel should make 32nm or less for mobile to help less heat and long battery life for dual cores. Samsung have 45nm for single core that's pretty good for battery life.

the very ignorants who mocked on Meego, Obviously they did not read articles or blogs before jump on this with their nasty comments. They (articles or blogs) said, MeeGo won't support touch interfaces in a core release until October. thats why Nokia/ Intel didn't ready to selling it..

@Netox, You might be right, but Possibly it would be survival in mobile market era while WP7 gonna failure within 6 months..

Wow, New Meego UI look like WebOS's multi-tasking cards. Meego UI looks more promise and will catch up with Android, iPhone 4 eventually.. Meego join with their cousins (Android, WeBOS, Bada)..
