Hi, im one of those People who never check alldeaf forum regularly beside his own thread. nice to meet you.

i've created this thread for reasons. does anyone know where i can find a good information of "blue print" inside of nuclues 5 CI? my warranties expired and i live somewhere where there is barely deaf support(Welcome to Asia). not only im planning to fix CI by myself, i might even try and mod them. all i need is a link (or a book) that contain blueprint of nuclues 5.

im sorry if you had hard time reading those up. My English isn't my native language.

Wouldn't the company be "able to assist you"?

Good luck in actually fixing your Cochlear Implant

I can't see that happening...legally speaking, it's a copyright issue.

Cochlear owns the designs for their CI products. I doubt they're going to release blueprints to some random stranger, they're going to be concerned about being ripped off and someone else wanting to use Cochlear's designs for new CI products, etc. etc. etc.

I would say, fiddle around with your own personal processor if you so feel like it. But getting an actual blueprint or design plan of your specific processor is just not going to happen. there are trouble shooting guide and a user's guide and such available for the N5, and I think that's pretty much all you're going to get.
