in my case..i was issued with two hearing aids..which made my life more amisery that it already was..what i hear or dont!!!!....they made me feel like i was listening to a 100 watt transistor radio in a foreing language....
i have in all of my 42 years of life, alittle more than one year in the aura of the audiological wonder of hearing more..with an or two aids felt that ...most of the time those devices are designed by people who can actually hear.......they have absolutely no perception of the problems the befall us who are deaf or hard of hearing....
so much hard work goes un noticed in the deaf orld regarding what and how we could just hear like what those so called normal hearing people can hear...for as little as i can hear ..i can for the most part ....enjoy music liske most.....but in the spoken world...it is so much more difficult.....if it was to be equated in to productive particles of performance......deaf people ...the are so much more efficient and so many more times more productive because of the enforced attention to detail.....
i for one like most of you ...feel that we get a raw deal...but sometimes i do wonder if the hearing world is better.....in my worl place ..i often get from some hearing colleuges....what did he or she say.....(in my mind im saying..your asking me)...but because i cannot hears some of the background noice i actually hear what was said)..but dare i admit it and add to the confussion....how do we begin to help them understand.
