If you're 50 plus, let's break out the disco ball

Me as school girl in early 1970s.

Me as teenager in 1970s - hair :giggle:

Me in 1970s

Enjoy :D

What did you look like in 1973? (i.e. your hairstyle -- short, long, curly, etc.)

What do you look like now?

I'm not very good at describing myself. My hair back then was cut in a "short shag" as we called it, and was, as always, very wavy. I noticed, too, that I hadn't yet lost my "chipmunk cheeks"!:giggle: Was wearing contacts back then, so no glasses.

Today, my hair is shoulder length, and curlier due to the length. Scrapped the contacts, and just wear my glasses now. Hair is not quite as dark a red, but is beginning to fade as all redheads do.:giggle: "Chipmunk cheeks" are gone.

:ty: for the description Jillio.

What is a "short shag?" Is that similar to what they call a "boy cut?"

It was very layered, with shorter layers starting at the top and getting progressively longer. The final layer (underneath) in front reached to the bottom of the earlobes, and the one in back to the bottom of the neck. Very shaggy!!

Wow, you are soooo pretty Jillio and Liebling!

Back in the day... wow. I am 52. It sometimes doesn't seem real.
As for those days way back when, I had fun. I don't remember a thing. I had lots of fun. That's my story, I am sticking to it.
I had long, wavy red hair, a do rag or bandana almost always. I was about 90 lbs soaking wet. I had an 18 inch waist. I have a hard time believing it myself! I always tell peeps that I am "twice the woman I ever was"!!

Awww....:ty: Nan Mathews!

Thanks for the help, Kid, Jiro, and Naisho. :ty:

Yep, HA, I am a redhead, but the pic is black and white.:giggle: And keep in mind, this was 1973. I don't look like that anymore!

I swear..... you have the celebrity face. Your 1973 face is just like younger-version of... perhaps Angela Lansbury (but that's not who I'm thinking of... I can't remember her name but I remember her face but I also don't remember the name of movies she was in LOL) and your current face is just like Jodie Foster.

Liebling - lovely pix! it's a nice transformation of you from old style to modern hip style! You think your crazy hair is that bad? try this!!!!!! :laugh2:

Jiro,

Try what? <confused>

I posted a pix of my old pix. I had a bed hair (or wild hair) cuz my best friend came over very early in the morning to say good bye before he left for Army base in Savannah.
