If you could change captioning, what would you do to make it better?

My digital cable box still disabled features and not show on the menus, where I can find a secret menus? I have a Scienific Altanta Explorer 8300 DVR.
 
HEY! What about implant on our eyes it will caption front of me and ourselves.

Hey! I have same DVR like u have and it got upgraded last May or June (Mylo upgraded) and I was able to turn on CC feature on DVR. It is under Time Warner Cable. Maybe u might have to call Cable co and ask them why they locked it. It shuld be unlocked upon upgrade.

It works nicely but lags a bit. it is a little transparent tho.
