Hello!
I'm a college student currently taking Deaf Studies and I'm thinking about pursuing a career in Interpreting, but I'm not sure yet.
I have to write a paper on an interview with a Deaf person, so I've prepared 10 questions I was hoping anyone could answer. If you could leave your name and/age, that would be great!

1) How do you feel about cochlear implants?
2) Were you/are you mainstreamed or are you attending a school for the Deaf?
3) What is something you think or wish all hearing people knew?
4) Were you born Deaf? If not, what caused your hearing loss?
5) What is your opinion on Deaf peddlers?
6) Have you ever been discriminated against or mistreated because you're Deaf? If so, please describe if it's not too personal and you don't mind.
7) How do you feel about hearing people trying to learn and use Sign Language?
8) How could the hearing world be more accommodating?
9) Do your friends and/or family know Sign Language?
10) How do you feel about oral vs. manual education?
