JOB!!!!

Yes!! I got job at MN State Capitol concession in St. Paul MN...

Yesterday when I was chatting with my dad, somehow a guy from concession came up to me, ask me do I want to make some money, so I said why and how? he said I can take his place for 10 minutes and I will make $10. Some legislators I know was :shock: and like "what are you doing?"... My dad came up and helped me with money since I am not good with numbers. I felt like a teenager with parent come up on my first day of job..

Today was my 2nd day... It was so bad and busy! One guy was busted for shoplifting ice cream bar, and he was arrested in front of people. There was so many people, mostlly school children because of MN Quarter official relase day... so I had to be on lookout for shoplifters.

I will work when the guy needed me... He always pay me in cash so which are good that I can make extra money....

Abt time, tho...it's been a long dry spell for ya.
 
Congratulations!!!!

I think Im getting new job soon! I hope so! Been looking like hell. Can't survive without job. Been out of work for almost 2 months.
 
I also work as student senator... volunteer work are lobbyist and campaign worker.. so i havei have 4 "jobs" besides going to school....
 
Sounded like your building some connections... They are best tools for future jobs! The more people know you, the better chance you'd land better job. I wish I had done that long time ago.. Oh well

Congrats, I don't get it, why people are so happy
to get a job?
I thought people don't want job, but have to work...
would be nice to have vacation.

I am sooo lucky to not have job... ack!!!!
Not have to wake up every morning...
same routines everyday... and boss too mean. :crazy:

I don't understand Miss P's negative attitude... not every bosses and jobs are the same.

I've been real fortunate to have worked for Federal Gov't for 21 years...
 
Evidently you have fear in success. Also, seems you want to stay in poverty level. Image, if you hit senior citizen and you don't have enough assets, then your into trouble cause SS won't cover you and that SSI won't be enough to pay for all of the expense you may need.

I want job because I wanted to build equity, and own house and that I can build retirement nest and have decent retirement! I wouldn't want to go on your route!

Final note, it takes WORK to accomplish anything. Who says you must work flipping hamburgers forever? Don't you know many of CEOs, and high level people, all of them started with what? washing toilet bowl, flipping hamburgers, doing dishes etc! That is HOW they go up there.

Im a boss of 40 plus staff members and I dont think that they think I am mean. I do keep track of their accountability and ensure that we follow policies, etc.

I would rather work than stay home and lead a life of nothingness. I am giving back to this society and that is what I am damn proud of. I wouldnt feel good if I stayed home only to watch TV or play on computer 24/7. It will give me no purpose of life.

You are very intelligent and even have 2 degrees! Id hate to see you waste that for nothing.

Why do people think opportunies will end
when people reached at the certain age... especially
over the age 50?

Opportunties will always be available...
Heck, I might be the next contestant on the
tv Reality game show in the future....

Never know what the future will hold.

20 years ago, we didn't have computer job position...
so 10 years later... we don't know what we will have.

SO I am just chillin and relaxin. :booty:

Im with Meg on this.....those 2 degrees can help you get the foot in the door...it is a waste if you don't use them for employment.

i am with meggie on this!!

i went nuts for not having a job for 2 years! .. if you ask meggie!! i couldn't stand it.. i was so restless and depressed being stuck at home doing nothing--being at the computer 24/7, having no money for a social life, etc.. as the economy is still bad which makes it hard to find jobs these days.. i finally decided to start a biz of my own very recently... to my surprise>>> it is going very well but slowly!! i am DAMN PROUD OF MYSELF!!! :fruit: and feel great about myself too! my clients are very happy with me and even made some referrals too!! :thumb: ... the hardest part is.. learning the bookkeeping.. aackkk!!! :eek2: but i have faith that i will get the hang of it soon! :) :dance:

Well if I am intelligent enough to get 2 college degrees...
I will use my intelligence and my determination to get
a job or I just own a business.
I won't let my enemies or anybody to block my path...
I got a strong voice.... and I will get the attention
to get what I want...

I will do whatever I have to get the job...
