hi everyone,

the purpose of this thread is to list the things you HAVE to do.

however, instead of saying, "i have to..." you say "i get to..."

for example, instead of saying "today i have to go to work..." say "i get to go to work," "i get to go to school," "i get to do the grocery shopping," etc.

after awhile of reading everyone's posts, everything will seem great in comparison. :giggle:

i'll start...

today i get to go outside in the freezing cold to go grocery shopping. :mad2:

you?

Today, I get to straighten up my apartment, get lectures ready for next week, have a friend over for shrimp scampi later in the evening, and not get out of my sweats all day. And hopefully, take a nap, cuz I have had trouble sleeping last night!:giggle:

it sounds like you have a productive day lined up jillio except for cleaning your apartment. :giggle:

being in sweats all day... nice!

shrimp scampi

I have to... perhaps stroll to NYC for NY Motorcycle Show and work on major library site redesign. :hmm: and also file the tax return and fill out my town's renewal form for dog.

Actually, I think being in sweats all day is a wonderful thing, cuz I don't get to do it very often.:giggle: So comfortable. Throw the sweats on, pull the hair up, put the glasses on, and get to work!

Yep, it's one of my favorites, too. Love the garlic!

I'd love to get my taxes done, but am still waiting for all my W-2s to come!

I usually love to wear jeans + sweater but im wearing sweats right now cuz it's cold and i'm tightening up my belt to save money. my dad's having money issue (due to shitty economy and horrible currency rate exchange at this moment). so he's not able to send some money to my mom (He's in Korea). Gotta take over and take care of $$$$ bills for now.

thanks god I saved up $$$$$. i'm praying economy will be in a better mood after Obama Administration.

Yes, and no. I'm not that crazy about the process, but I can get my work done so much better when my space is neat and clean. I just get distracted otherwise. And I have to have my books and reference materials all in their place. I want to be able to reach for something and know it is where it is supposed to be. If I am in the middle of writing or putting together a lecture or presentation, and have to stop and search for a book or a reference piece, it ruins my train of thought.

i'm the same way when it comes to my deafblind, bipolar and schizophrenia related resources. i keep 3-ring binders of this information in braille. whenever someone on a forum or message board is looking for information, i can grab what i need to without spending half the day trying to find it.

You and I are both praying for that! I have my heat turned down, too, both to save $$ and because I get lazy in a too warm place! Haven't checked the temp this a.m., but yesterday a.m. was 17 degrees. That hurts skinny people!:giggle:

Considering the space that braille takes up, I bet you've got a bunch of binders!

yes, braille does take up alot of room. i'm running out of space to put my 3-ring binders on my computer desk. soon, i'll have to resort to using my bookshelf.

speaking of braille, i have the new king james version of the bible in braille and it takes up 3 shelves (there are a total of 19 separate braille volumes).
