Wal-Mart 'Quitting UMD Movies
Retail reports are suggesting that Wal-Mart may be about to quit the UMD movie market, following a downward trend in sales. Hollywood studios are abandoning the format.

Image Reuters reports Hollywood sources saying that Wal-Mart is pulling out of UMD. The reports adds that UMD sections at retail are shrinking fast.

One unnamed president of a major studio is quoted as saying, "No one's watching movies on PSP. It's a game player, period."

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has ceased UMD production. One exec told Reuters, "Sales are near zilch. It's another Sony bomb."

Paramount is also considering its future with PSP's format. An exec said, "We are on hiatus with UMD. Releasing titles on UMD is the exception rather than the rule. No one's even breaking even on them."

Image Entertainment has moved out of UMD while 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and Buena Vista Home Entertainment have reduced commitment.

I'm start don't care about UMD movies but it would discontinue soon and not sure. People can download video via connect with media manager but its easier to use like transfer music and video into PSP. Play games on PSP is more important than watch movies but I love most of PSP games since good games are growing, also sale of PSP games are great, much higher than PSP movies.

There's download video for PSP from Limewire website.

Check out Limewire website...

I'm tired of explain to you then if you don't like it and don't buy it, then again stop complain about PS3.

Dude, do u realize that 360 and ps3 are same price difference.
Preimer 360
$399.99
Hd-dvd playback
$149.99
Xbox live
$49.99
Intercooler*
$19.99

VS

The $599.99 version ps3
Includes sony online service (free), blu-ray playback, 40 more gb(60 gb total) hard drive than 360.

* people forced to buy it to protect 360 from overheat.

I paid $470 bucks for sake.
Preimer 360, intercooler, xbox live. I might get hd-dvd drive $149.99 dollars.

Sony have reason to stop make new games based on DVD-ROM for PS3 and all games will make on BD, unlike Xbox 360 that still make games based on DVD but DVD is nearly technical limited for video games and BD is new formant for stores more room, more expands and much of features. Peter Moore would state if force all video games to make on HD-DVD but for now, they stated HD-DVD add-on would only for watch movies, also they can change their mind soon. You must understand about both of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are expensive but DVD is used expensive in late 90's. PS3 for $600 would including video games, playback movies, internet browser, pre-install Linux, musics and some new features, that better than $999.99 for BD Player and $499.99 for HD-DVD player. I'm very exciting about new PS3 and can't wait to pre-order at EBgames.

If you can't afford PS3 then apply to get job and no more SSI.

Movies were the one thing I really liked about my PSP. They were just too dang expensive, though.

It does have network ready. Wireless adapter is for optional. I dont use wireless anyway.

I just got WiFi (network adapter) for xbox 360 before it sold out for some reason.

Full PS3 have WiFi built-in wth any add-on.

If I wanted a PS3 (mainly for MGS4) I would rather pick up the 20gb version.
since it's $500.

You just looking for cheap thing but how about get job? If you get it then no problem.

If WiFi built-on, memory flash, compact flash, HDMI input and 60GB for $600 that sounds better than $500 PS3 because 60GB is 3 time more than 20GB for lower end PS3 and xbox 360. Also, I need memory flash, WiFi and HDMI input for some reason.

since it supports memory flash sticks, I wonder what about supporting PS2 memory cards when they said it's backwards compatiable with the PS2 games?

Sony stated that lower-end PS3 can have upgradeable HDD, PS3 is much changing from PS2 because it wouldn't support PS2 memory card but you can backwards compatiable with PS2 games, of course.

If you need game saves from PS2 memory card then just transfer via media manager with USB or not sure.
