Here's an example of one just under $15. You just plug the guitar straight into the tuner: Buy Korg CA-40 Electronic Chromatic Tuner | Tuners | Musician's Friend If you have more money to blow and want to get a digital multi-effects processor, they can also tune your guitar visually. Here's the one I'm using right now and it's great: Buy DigiTech RP355 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal | Floor Guitar Effects | Musician's Friend As for keeping your guitar in tune, I've read you can put pencil graphite in the nut to keep it in tune. I've never tried it, but here's a video I found of a guy doing it (sorry for the annoying music). You could also upgrade your tuning machine heads to locking tuners, like these perhaps: Buy Fender Schaller Locking Tuners | Tuning Machine Heads | Musician's Friend Best of luck to you.
