Well since there have been tones of discussions on here about why users dislike relay services and why opr hate having some of these calls. Especially with instructions for "live rep"

So want a live rep.. I'm here to tell you how to get one without getting on an opr nerves and without an opr having to type out a million prompts to you.

Any time calling a place that you know has a recording, such as a bank, t mobile and such. Try to provide as much info as u can at the beginning of the call. For example :

You want to make a call to t mobile becaues your sidekick isn't working properly. You want to talk to a live rep. At the beginning of the call provide your sidekick telephone nbr... last four digits of your social.. and the reason why you are calling.. for side kick problems.

Just by providing those 3 simple things HELPS so much you just have no clue.. because that means we can just fly through the recording and get you exactly where you need to be in probably less then 30 seconds.

And say you want to check your balance at your bank? The bank recordings always ask for:

Bank acct nbr, Social security nbr, and then the reason you are calling (balance, transfers ect ect..) And most of the time on these, the option for a live rep isn't until after it has stated your balance and is usually in the title other options.

So hopefully this helps everyone out.

Provide your operator at the beginning of the call, before Dialing, as much info as you think we will need for making the call. Even if it is as simple as : This is Dan calling Betty Lewis. This usually helps when getting past someone who has not ever used relay and doesn't want to listen. Saves being hung up on. And operators don't get yelled at. Now.. if the person hangs up after the opr has announced who the call is to and from and they hang up.. then get mad at the person who hung up... and if your curious if the operator got a chance to even voice that the call was from you to that person ask. We are allowed to answer simple yes or no questions if there is not a call still on the line.

So hopefully this has helped and hope to be seeing alot more info pop up on my screen. Makes my day just a wee bit easier.

Remember:
1. Acct/phone nbr/who u are calling
2 Social security (when needed)
3 Reason you are calling (appt/ change address/ balance/ ect)

The three things that help make a call go smoooooth.

See you guys in the wild world of relay.:fingersx:
