I hate this!!! My girlfriend is not going to Nov.3 Deaf Event at Harper so I am not going. I am tired of going to Deaf Events without a date which I've done for more than 15 years. Tired of it...I want to go on a road trip and buy a car, but I have no one to go with me.

It's about 80 miles away. I was thinking of using my AAA towing card to get it home. Don't know if it will work because it's a running car. I think a car needs to have a plate to have it towed. Plus, if it is running, they'll say they cannot tow it.

It has a real loud exhaust. I wonder if I can use it as an excuse that I am afraid to drive it and get in trouble because of exhaust.

I do have AAA Plus membership.

Any trains available? I know of one person who took a long distance train to pick up a car. Where you are, you may have several train options.

No trains real close to this. Maybe I would have to take train and long bike rides, etc.

I thought AAA could only tow cars at limited distances?

Wirelessly posted

Maybe disconnect spark plug wires? Just enough to look ok if they check. Or pull a fuse for ignition.

car needs valid registration. Thee tow driver can tell by a quick look of things out of ordinary. The other problem is that you need to be there for the tow too. I dont condone what you want to do to save money- but you do what you gotta do.
