President Obama traveled all the way to China to praise the free flow of information. It’s the only safe place he could do so without getting heckled. With a straight face, Obama lauded political dissent and told Chinese students that he welcomed unfettered criticism in America. Fierce opposition, he said, made him “a better leader because it forces me to hear opinions that I don’t want to hear.” How do you say “You lie!” in Mandarin?

Obama's Doubletalk on Political Dissent by Michelle Malkin on Creators.com - A Syndicate Of Talent

A long list of examples of why that is the case.

ah... Michelle Malkin. why am I not surprised? She has a serious boner for Republicans.

Well, the solution isn't to throw out another $1 trillion dollars worth knowing it'll fail even miserably more than our present $50 billion dollars a year fraud and waste in the Medicare program.

Trust ANY communist government? PLEASE!

Take the hint Hu Jintao! :nutkick:

I suppose people are allowed to have their little "racism in them" to come out and have a big laugh over that picture? But had it been any other person to post that picture people around here would be howling with fake outrage of racist charges. And then get banned. Funny how things work around here.

:sure:

It's too bad you don't have a sense of humor...

"If I posted this, I would expect a mail from the staff."

How true and yet that little racism in people came out whenever they laughed at the picture, right?

No. It is about context, not content. And this is the case with 99% of language. It is not what you say that is important, but HOW you say it. To quote McLuhan, "The Medium IS the message."

Jiro's post is not racist, and neither are people who laugh at it. The context dictates that the very reason he posted it was to poke fun at racial tensions. If you think it is racist, it just simply means you do not fully grasp the context. The fact that he himself is Asian strengthens his ethos and gives him license to post something in this context. Sure, if he were not Asian, he would not have the credibility to post such a picture. What's your point?

He got banned for posting a LOLcat picture containing a cat in a suicide-bomb vest.

Let me repeat once more what saywhatkid said:

"If I posted this, I would expect a mail from the staff."

And he knows that's true. It's called a double standard. Hypocrisy. Whatever. When it comes to perceived racism. Please, go ahead and laugh, then we will all know for sure.
