Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients:

1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
1 lb. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Soften vanilla and butter. With wooden spoon, cream butter and brown sugar together. Add cinnamon and mix. Mix in softened (but not melted!) ice cream into butter and brown sugar mixture. Pack back into a freezer container and store in freezer.

To make hot buttered rum:

Place 1 oz. of rum in a mug. Add 2 tablespoons of mix, and fill with boiling water. Stir until dissolved.

This is a great holiday drink.

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!! (might just take a shot or two of the rum while the water is boiling!!) :giggle: :giggle:

Sounds good but I'm not a Rum person.. ack as I didn't realize you need Rum for this and wow 1lb of butter!! I think I'll get a low fat eggnog with kahula instead lol

Tha's okay......and I'm a fan of Starbucks Eggnog Latte at Christmas time, so I bet eggnog with Kahlua is really good, too.

ohhh I saw that Starbucks Eggnog Latte at Chapters (your Barnes and Noble store) but there was a darn big line up lol... I wanted to try the candy cane hot chocolate that Tim Horton's is offering... anyone try it yet??
