In a world where one fails to understand who we are, where we come from and what we believe in this forum..I am able to feel at home.
I cannot express my graditude.
Just last week, my MIL was kind of frustrated that
the middlest was so "affectionate." I told her well,
deaf culture we are very affectionate. I mean all the
deaf kids, and hofh kids in her class were always hugging.
Just the way it is. She felt that she was just doing it for
"attention"...but for her, she doesn't have all the language to say
you know I appreciate you..so naturally her next recourse is to SHOW
physically how much that she loves her.
Atleast I am able to come back and remember...they are in a sense kids...
learning what our world is like..
Love you guys.

That is so true Heart2Sign, the deaf community when they get together for a visit, or a social event, they always hug each other. Even if they have already seen the person the day before. They have a hard time saying "see ya later" when it's time to go home. It is a loving community.
