With all the recent deaths of celebrities who have been addicted to drugs whether drugs caused their deaths or not, do you think Hollywood really eats them up and spits them out when they are no longer "marketable"?

I wonder what it is about living that kind of lifestyle that makes people easily fall prey to substance abuse problems or am I just stereotyping?

Well, I wouldn't be surprised. Hollywood is where sharks eats their victims.

And they're likely to be the one to push the drugs on the the celebrities when they're impressionable and not to mention vulnerable.

I remember reading somewhere in a book that some people think Hollywood is where people goes there to get lost. I think that's true because many has left their past behind, and set up their new lives and they are not true to themselves or the public.

So many of those celebrities (celebrities has so many insecurities- look at Brittany Murphy) live in fear of aging and will do anything to keep their youth even if it means taking drugs and whatnot.

Doctor are also culpable because they see them as way to get dr's pocket filled and cement his reputation.

Celebrities have a lot of pressure. Now it would depend on the celebrity itself how vulnerable he/she is. If you let this pressure get you and your head, then I guess you're doomed to fall into it... (drugs, plastic surgeries,... ) I think the list can be endless.

I wish people wouldn't make such a fuss about getting old... that's the way life goes after all...
