Good afternoon everyone!

My name is Casey. I am currently living in Houston, Texas but am seeking part-time employment and a place to live perhaps Austin, Texas. Before I make my final decision, I have a few questions regarding Austin, Texas.

Here it is:

1. What is Austin, Texas like for the Deaf Community?

2. Are there enough jobs for deaf people in Austin?

3. Is Austin, Texas apartments expensive?

4. Which side of Austin, Texas is the best place to live?

5. Are the transportation there reliable?

6. Do you know if there is any Jewish temples in Austin that do provide a Jewish sign language interpreter?

7. Most of all, is Austin Texas a safe place to live for deaf people?

Your input and opinions would be much appreicated! Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you! :)

Austin has one of the highest car accident rate in the US, for your information.

A deaf friend from Houston just moved to Austin. I can't give you his contact info because I can't PM you yet. You need 50 posts to receive PMs. Why don't you post 46 times so that I can tell you?

Most of north parts of Austin is expensive to live in

LOL no, it's not. In fact, all apartment IN urban are very expensive, no matter.

400 ft sq for $600 on one-bedroom. That's pretty expensive. No matter how crap the place is... still expensive. :eek3:
