Theres not much of a deafblind community online..so im here just giving u all a heads up..started going to hknc ..god new glasses for low vision dont use them much do to the fact vision is worse whatever, okay so will be going nextweek for the ican connect programe..that give out tellacommunication..to low income deafblind..also im in mobilty training now ...getting very good with the white cane...geting good at tackle signing..learning to touch before signing and during signing...went to a day programe today dont like it..cant really hear all thats going on ..and felt shut off ...not a good feel pluse they where playing bingo...not cool..so just let u all know what's going on ..plus dont really want lose the account...lovess kiss alll laterz.
 
That is so great. Hope you are going to like HKNC very much. Is it in NYC or long Island?
 
Its in long island ..I love it there is a great deafblind community its so cool I miss u all lot ..not online much cus need to find better equipment for my hearing and vision needs ..but will you all update d..
 
Vorsia, so nice to see your post. Sorry you have to deal with so much. Your a very strong women. Are you planning on getting a service dog to help you out? I wish you all the best. Stay strong!!!

Cool!! My old childhood friend attended there. She said that she had an awesome experience life there. she now has her own place with roommie and her black lab dog.
 
Yup ...I have my own apt now but I do need a guide dog ...and training ...

I think a service dog would be terrific for you. I hope you can find some place that will provide a trained dog for you at no cost.
 
Its very hard my 13 year old fights a lot he is mad ...but I talk to him a lot my daughter is learning to read now..I just dont want to miss out on helping with homework..I need there help a lot I dont they want to help half the time..yeah we fight more..not easy Botttesini..my 12 year old he is okay long as he can play on the tablet ..and watch tv..we go out to eat ..I try food shop with it was crazy no help at all its okay I dont expect them to take care of me , there kids after all they should be able to be kids..our signing style changes with my vision thats always crazy...

Hang in there. It will really get better as you adjust and get more training.
 
I hope so im am learning so much...it will work out it has too.
 
Im applying at fidelco and guideing eye..its takes up to a year or more angel..

you have a lotta stuff going on but am glad you have some different options and are trying different things.
