Read this interesting interview with CEO of a drug company and he said:
"There are more people in the U.S. with Hepatitis C than with HIV, probably four times as many."
Leadership: The John Martin interview with Geoff Colvin - May. 11, 2011
While hepatitis C can be deadly, what's truly baffling is that it is mainly transmitted through blood to blood. It's rare to be transmitted by saliva or semen. So, there are 4 times MORE people with Hep C than with HIV so what the hell are people doing with blood exposure?!?!
It also reveals that HIV is NOT easy to contract even though it's transmittable through bodily fluids - being exposed to it does NOT mean you'll be infected. With Hep C, you cannot get it fro semen or saliva, only from blood but yet it infects more people! That makes me wonder about the behaviors that caused them to been exposed to blood.
