Gold’s Gym in Columbia recently concluded a monthlong school supply drive for the S.C. School for the Deaf and the Blind.

The third annual Heart of Gold’s drive raised enough school supplies and other items for 25 classrooms for the remainder of the year. The school serves 280 children with a hearing and/or visual impairment.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to be involved in something that is so meaningful and to support children throughout South Carolina who are challenged with a sensory disability,” said Ron Littlebrant, president of Gold’s Gym of Columbia. “These children deserve the best that life has to offer, and we are pleased to make a donation that will assist them in succeeding.”

The S.C. School for the Deaf and the Blind provides services statewide for children and adults who are deaf, blind or sensory multidisabled, as well as their families and the professionals who work with them.
