Help with messages

I am new to this site and do not know how to send messages to people on their profile. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

You have to make a minimum number of posts first to help eliminate spammers.

I am not sure what that figure is now.
 
Plus some of us have our own guards set up, and you can't send anything at all to those people.
 
It looks like you've made five posts - I'd try it now. When I joined here (I think I remember) that once you had five posts you could do it. (Unless, like Bottesini said, the person you're trying to message doesn't want to be reached.)
