help questions about hearing aids.......

so what does the programs on hearing aids mean i have a hearing aid that goes up to 4 programs. what does that mean? i never could figure that out and i have no clue about percentage and i asked my hearing provider how much hearing loss and i asked in db and she said that they don't know that and they don't do that way. it is confusing. i have a hearing aid that is unison essential that is what it says on the back of my hearing aid and it is a unison hearing aid ,unitron. it is blue and see through and mold is swirled in blue,green,orange.
so does the programs tell how much loss you have or what?

Four separate levels of sound adjustments for your digital hearing aids.

The first switch is a standard sound that you are listening all sounds, the 2nd switch to reduce a background noise, third switch perhaps directly to a person in a restaurant, and the fourth is a telephone.

It can be confused with these levels. I have three levels: (1) standard, (2) reduce background noises, and (3) telephone only. You can play with the switch modes to listen how different you hear something. If you lost your track of the modes, you can turn it off and turn it on that will automatically go back to the standard mode.

If your audiologist does not know anything about the chart for your hearing loss, then he/she is definitely not professional audiologist. About different colors of molds, it is your personal choice. It does not make any difference. Most of us rather to have our color molds match our hair. A friend of mine has seen a new mold that looks like a condom. That's werido.

For the audiology chart, a higher frequency (Hz) which means very high pitch sound that you cannot hear it. I think my audiologist said that this highest frequency which means it is very loud. I disagreed with her because very loud has to do with low pitch and loud. Most audiologists said it the same old thing. (i.e. You know smoke alarm goes off that has very high pitch sound.)

Yeah i have 3 switches on mine. One for normal, two for background, and 3 for phone. It gets annoying though when the phone is ringing and you're rushing to the phone hitting the button as it goes, "beep beep beep" but it works.
