Enjoy a variety of cuisine and help raise money for literacy programs with "A Taste of Olathe" D.E.A.F. (Dining for Educational Accessibility for the Future) Sunday. The third annual event provides the opportunity to sample food from over 20 area restaurants and enjoy children?s activities, entertainment, and both a live and silent auction. All proceeds support literacy programs and resources for children in the state of Kansas.
The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, September 18 at the Kansas School for the Deaf Elementary Center , 450 E. Park St. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children between ages 4 and 10. Children under age 4 are free. Tickets are available at the door or in advance. Sign language interpreters will be available.
A Taste of Olathe is sponsored by the Kansas School for the Deaf, Sertoma Club of Kansas City, the City of Olathe and Star 102.
