Hi! I am new to this forum and I just wanted to introduce myself a bit. I am hearing, but I am interested in Deaf culture and would love to learn all that I can about it. My dream is to go to Gallaudet University and complete their M.A. in Mental Health Counseling. However, my problem is that although I have grown up with a mild hearing loss, but I don't know any sign language at all. Can you all help me? It may take me a lot of time to be able to get into a program like that but I really have a passion for serving the Deaf community. I have always been very drawn to the Deaf culture and I want to learn all that I can about it. Thank you so much!

In that case you're not hearing. You're HOH. What state are you in? Are there any colleges/universities in your state that offer ASL Deaf studies programs?
