Hi, my name is Miranda. Just going to do a short introduction.
I am hard of hearing. I have been since birth(have a closed ear hole in my right ear). I was supposed to learn ASL as a child, but this did not happen and I don't actually know why. However, I decided 2 years ago(when I actually had the opportunity) to start learning ASL and I would like to stay up to date with the language and make new friends while I am at it.

Anyways, if you have any questions just let me know. :)
 
Ear canal atresia? Several of us have that here. Welcome to AD>
 
I am not sure of a name for it, my mother might have heard it when I was born, but she has only referred to me as being half deaf. I just no that I have no hole in my ear where there should be. The skin just seemed to grow right over it blocking the canal. :/

But thank you for letting me join! :)

Hi, the only reason I am learning ASL is because I am fascinated by the language after my visit to Gallaudet and watching "Switched at Birth." I enrolled in a class and am a beginning student.
