Hi Melissa, I'm new to AD and joined for the same reasons as yours - dealing with the inevitable loss of even more hearing and wishing there was a technological fix. It's a painful feeling when everyone around you is "normal" and will never be able to relate.
And we have to deal with the added confusion of how to learn a whole new language that none of our families or friends "speak", and weigh the pros and cons of CIs. A magic bullet doesn't exist for our ongoing issues, but it's great that we can vent our frustrations and trade notes on AD.com. You're not alone, we're in the same boat!
