Hello everyone. I am the Human Resources Director for a great company called Strategies To Empower People, Inc. We just call ourselves STEP for short. We are based in the Sacramento California area and we are ALWAYS looking for good people that are skilled signers. We provide support to adults with Developmental Disabilities so they can successfully live in their own place in the community. For some this means a couple of hours of instruction a week; for others, it means having 24/7 staff. We also have a Vocational program set up specifically for Deaf and Deaf Blind adults with Developmental Disabilities. We have many Deaf clients and employees and our Deaf Supported Living Program is run by a Deaf Director with two Deaf managers to support the team. Our Executive Management Team is 80% signers and most of our Office Support Team are signers.
