Might as well as introduce myself... I jumped into this forum without really giving out proper introductions. My bad. :)

I'm Todd, and I'm just an average single Deaf guy. And yes, I've done the requistite rite of passage by attending a Deaf institution (FSD) and Gally. Great times and great memories!

I used to be a part-time ASL teacher earlier this year for a private high school in South Florida. To make a long story short, I've decided to switch gears in terms of my career direction and I hope to either land a full-time job in the legal field, or start a business in the legal field. Hopefully things'll happen soon!

Oh, BTW, Hello!

Hello Todd,

Hi, Todd...
Do you mean as in the paralegal arena?

Hello, there...

Not quite. If the pay's really good, is full-time and with benefits, and the job doesn't require dictation/heavy phone work, then yeah, I'll consider such jobs. Even if I do undertake such jobs, I probably won't be doing it for too long, just enough to get experience and move on.

Primarily, I'm looking for opportunities involving legal writing and research. I would also welcome transactional work, i.e., closing real estate contracts, title searches, income tax advice, etc.

Lately, the legal job market is oversaturated and it's been tough in my area. Hopefully I'll find something soon.

Hello and welcome to Alldeaf Eyeth! Your username seems fitting for the type of professional field you're currently seeking, meaning, not only keeping an eye on the legal matters and whatnots, but keeping an 'eyeth' on the 'fine print', the little wordings that most ppls. might otherwise overlook or not take greater care reading such! :)lol:) Anyhow, hope you're enjoying your stay here in AD!! ;)
