My husband misses climb the rock since he got shoulder injury and cant do anything about it. Everytime he saw a pix of someone climb the rock, he felt so sad.

how did he get shoulder injury? can it be fixed ? orthopedic dr ?

at first i thought i had a dislocated shoulder last sept cuz my first dr told me after he saw an xray. it had been painful since last sept. and it limited my arm movement. Finally last month a third dr told me it was joint that was dislocated just above my shoulder. the dr gave me a shot of certinex(sp?) on my shoulder. it really works ! hopefully the joint will be back into right position.

How I wish it just a dislocation for him but he got hurt at workplace, little tear and spur (from using his shoulder too much 12 hours a day and 7 days a week). He had a surgery and hopefully he got better but not work out this way. Now he has to wait 2 years before they will let him to have another surgery. He is in constantly pain with his shoulder. He lost alot of muscles in this area. Oh well. That is life. Hope it does not happen to u with shoulder.

LOL Miss P. Where did you get that notion from? You're not watching too much TV, are you? ;)

I don't wanna be another James Dean or Princess Grace or the movie
like Thelma and Louise.

i googled and found how he crashed. i quoted this -
"James Dean died near Cholame, Ca. in a car crash, Sept. 30, 1955. He collided with Donald Turnipseed. Dean was in a Porsche Spyder 550, Turnipseed in a 1950 Ford."

Speaking of Thelma and Louise, that was filmed here in Utah, and a friend and I drove on the exactly same road, which was Schafer Trail near Dead Horse State Park. We called it Thimo and Louise. LOL... Of course, there were no police officers chasing us nor driving off a cliff.

Wow that is cool. lol... I wouldn't think police officers would car chase
someone in that direction... either, haha.

yea i can image how awesome the scene is as driving on rds.

my gf got FREAKED out as she looked down at mtns in NC when i drove on crazy offroadings on mtns. she kept saying "SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN". i was like WTF. after viewing at top of mtn , when we were about to go into my truck, she jumped onto my driver seat. i was like why are you doing like that ? she went like well i would feel safe when i drive and i dont look down the mtns. she did drive down the mtns at speed of 5 - 10 mph and it took us an hour back on pavement - it was like about 10 miles from top of mtn to road. i went like :pissed: she acted like she didnt see me. since then, she seems better with the heights when we go offroading frequently.

No im not afraid of heights, guess i take after my mom..my dad was afraid
of heights..I remember one time when my grandma (she knew that he was) asked my dad to check the roof for some reason, dad hemmed and hawed then he stepped outside to ponder this then he came up with this bright idea..he went over to the man next door and offered him $15.00 if he would go up the roof to check on something....geez...lol! Some people would do anything to avoid to go up high like roofs and stuff haha...My husband never was until now cuz he is losing some hearing and does not have much balance..in fact he used to be a fireman! He cant even look down anything from tall buildings without getting dizzy...poor thing.

i think my sis in law knows a deaf girl rock climber. i will have to ask her.

I lived in Longmont CO years ago and went to apply at Coors one day. The road between Longmont and Golden drops off 150- 200 feet just a few feet from the edge of the road. I only drove it once, but knew people who drove that route EVERYDAY. :Ohno:

Colorado has some beautiful scenery, but I'll fly instead of driving up there again. Too many hours behind the wheel and too many mountain roads.
