I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i have searched all over the net for a message board regarding hearing problems etc.

Anyway for the last 4 weeks my ears have been extremely sensitive to sound and make a vibrating/echo/suction noise about a half second after a noise ends. (for example when im done talking, i hear the noise). Sometimes on loud speakers such as a school esembly i would get this electronic buzzing/tickling noise in my ear, and at first i thought it came from the speakers. Also, whenever i yawn, i become partially deaf until im done.

Marijuana increases this extreme annoyance and it feels as if i can control the opening of a passage in my eardrum when im high, and can even make myself deaf in one ear for a few seconds

i guess my main question is has anyone ever had this problem/know exactly what it is? i saw my physician and he said it might just be a form of tinnitus. It seems like nobody has ever had this problem and i have been searching the internet for days. My family currently doesnt have insurance and in order to see a specialist they need 200 dollars upfront from what i hear. So if anyone knows anything about this problem please respond

Hearing Problem

Since you don't have insurance what about the local University Hospital. You may need a refrence from the other doctor to get into a clinic. They usually charge by income. You need to see an ENT. Most University Hospitals have several diffrent clinic, Such as ENT, nerology and so forth

I was gonna say "tinnitus", but your doc beat me to it. Also, have you had any water in your ears? From the suction part, it sounds like a ruptured ear drum to me. When my step-son ruptured his eardrum, he experienced exactly what you are talking about. We realized his eardrum was ruptured when he went under water and did the valsalva maneuver http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valsalva_maneuver and bubbles came out of his ear. If your ear is ruptured, you need to be careful for it not to become infected and quit playing with deafness, it isnt something you want to deal with for the rest of your life, believe me. I became hearing impaired due to a ruptured ear drum (scuba diving) that later became highly infected.
