I am thinking about going to O'ahu for my spring break with my friend (uhh, that if she doesn't back out or bring her boyfriend with her)

so I am wondering if any of deaf Hawaiians know good hotel prices, car rentals or whatsoever! I am thinking about staying either for 4 night/5days or 6nights/7days...

so any information regarding to traveling to Hawaii would be helpful!

I do know of one San Diego deafie living in Hawaii but i am not that close to her so I don't want to intrude her life :-/

hey garnly, im from the big island here's what I can do for u, since u want to go to O'hau i can help u with info, if u ll give me the dates u think ur coming i can find out the cheapest and good rates for the hotels and give u plenty of info for that.... i would recommend u stay in honolulu there's alot to do there ( was there last yr) good beaches to hang out, and also going to wakikiki which is only a good 5 mins walk on the beach, and umm, DO you want to stay on the beach or in hotel away from the beach? Do u want a condo like? or do u want regular hotel> I strongly recommend u get either enterprise OR Dollar here in hawaii, I can give u alot of info and when u arrive i recommend when the LEI LADIES give u a little booklet TAKE it cuz thats coupons and discounts it ll help u save money as well, theres alot of good resturants there, one being hard rock cafe, the other is cheeseburger haven, and the other one would be, bubba gump restruant those are the famous names resturants, AND last BUT not the least, I recommend u getting or renting a veido camera so u can tape all ur fun stuff then give the camera back they ll make cool tricks on the tape for u! lemme know the dates thanks! i ll get more info for u and u know u can also go to hotel.com they also have good bargins for u there too!

gnarly if u actually decide on oahu, i will talk with a deaf friend who lives there.. i think he would be happy to give u a tour with his wife. they just had a baby. he has lived in hawaii all of his life.

java, good advice!

liza> oh cool, that would be nice of them if they are willing to be our "tour guide" for a short while. :) you may give them my email and aim sn- winktwinkie@yahoo.com, gnarlywinkie

java> yeah, I already have decided that Honolulu is the best spot and between March 13 to March 20 are the best dates (spring BREAK!). I would love to have a room on a beach but budget-wise, we are trying to get cheapest prices as $600 (the maximum is 800$ each for three of us) for an economy room, flight, and car rental for 6 nights, 7 days (if it is not affordable then we are willing to stay 4 nights/5days) so... is there any "Super Five Motel" or something in O'ahu ??? :ugh: Because all i see are those extraordinary fancy hotels with outrageous prices...
hehe yeah, I already have a digital camera and camcorder ready to go!

(is passing on the information to friends)

Thanks, you guys!

I found a great offer of 465$ (INCLUDED tax) for a RoundTrip air ticket, so I am on a good pathway!

Wow, that's a good offer! Girl, you've gotta visit Maui. It has gorgeous waterfalls park called Hana, and in or near Hana- there was black ashes sand beach (I stole some of it  ). Beautiful view on a dead (maybe?) Haleakala Volcano's crater (or you can rent a bike to ride all the way down from the top), and of course GREAT beaches with sightseeings/snorkeling/boatridings!

And don't forget to go to Hawaii's traditional party Luau!

yeah, Mom went and sight-seeing the Hana via the helicopter (sp). She has a video tape of it so I am sure it is even more gorgeous in person but my friend is being fussy about Maui being popular with the tourism. :ugh: I did tell Mom to take some black sand and red sand but Mom was stuck with a fussy friend who didn't want to tour all over the isle (Mom said it would take her 5 hours to get to Hana by car) so :dunno: oh well! I am sure I can convicnce my buddies to go and visit Maui for a day and get advantage to tour all over 12 hours (or whatever daylight permits us!)

;)
